Eligibility

The Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SNIMS ) , was established in the year 2007 Subsequently Medical College has been established and made functional on 2009.

The Medical College has National Medical Commission (NMC) letter of permission for the intake of 150 MBBS seats from the academic year 2021-2022 . SNIMS has recognition for 100 MBBS seats and for PG Pharmacology 2 seats. The College has 7 Postgraduate Programmes (total 12 seats) in the department of Pharmacology, Community Medicine, General Medicine , Respiratory Medicine, , Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and Otorhinolaryngology.

The first batch of Medical students were admitted to the Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences on 10/8/2009 and the classes commenced with orientation on 17/8/2009 after fulfilling the requirements of Medical Council of India. This college was affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University at the time of commencement of college . The students of 2010 admission onwards are affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Mulangunnathukavu, Thrissur.

The first batch of MBBS students passed out in 2014 . Our student Ms. Reny Benny (2009 batch) is the University Topper (first rank) and had good number of distinctions and first classes from MG University , Kottayam.

We got MBBS first rank consecutively in the academic year 2017 and 2018 under Kerala University of Health Sciences. Ms. Ashima R Chandran (2012 batch) is the first rank holder of Kerala University of Health Sciences . Ms. Sreevidya Suresh (2013 batch) also got first rank under Kerala University of Health Sciences .

Ms. Amritha Krishna J of 2019 batch secured second rank under Kerala University of Health Sciences in the year 2020 for first MBBS examination.

Ms. Ashima R Chandran , Second University topper in IInd MBBS Examination in 2015.

Ms. Sreevidya Suresh third University topper in first MBBS Examination 2014.

In the year 2016, our students stood first , second and third in Anatomy in Kerala state.

Twelve batches of Medical students have been admitted in the medical college from the year 2009 onwards and Eight batch have already graduated.

A domain under paramedical science, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology covers subjects about diagnosis and treatment through the use of laboratory equipment. The course also trains them to handle advanced lab equipment, perform accurate medical laboratory tests, and eventually work as Laboratory Technicians.

SREE NARAYANA COLLEGE OF NURSING

Gurudeva Charitable Trust (GCT) is founded by a group of Philanthropic followers of Sree Narayana Guru, the great saint and social reformer of Kerala.   • The duration of the course is four years for B.Sc. Nursing.
  • The maximum period to complete the B.Sc. Nursing course successfully shall not exceed twice the actual duration of the Course (Eight years).

Academic Eligibility

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examination recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together, are eligible for admission.

Relaxation of marks

Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (as per G.O (P) No. 208/66/Edn dated 02/05/1966, G.O (MS) No. 95/08/SCSTDD dated 06/10/2008 and amendments thereof, with total annual family income not exceeding Rs.4.5 lakhs, will have a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination. They need only 45% marks in the case of Biology and 45 % marks in the case of Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination .The relaxation of marks in the qualifying examination extended to SEBC candidates only will be applicable to OEC candidates.

Eligibility Certificate

Candidates who have passed their qualified examination from outside the State of Kerala shall produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of qualifying examination from the University/ Board of Higher Secondary Examination concerned of Kerala. This should be furnished at the time of admission

Age

Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2022. Self- attested copy of relevant page of school record namely SSLC/ICSE/CBSE certificate showing Date of Birth/Copy of the birth certificate from appropriate authority should be furnished along with the application as proof of age.
