PAEDIATRICS

Paediatrics is the branch of medicine dealing with the health and medical care of infants, children and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18 years.

Our department aims to provide evidence based paediatric care in areas like - well baby check-ups, immunizations, developmental assessments, nutritional assessments, healthy lifestyle and other major childhood problems.

We are committed to delivering quality healthcare service to our children in the hospital and in the community.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

The department has a well developed undergraduate training program with state of art facilities, a well equipped library and a skill lab. We teach evidence based medicine sharing the latest information and the best clinical practices. Department is permitted to commence postgraduate course. Our students also actively take part in community programs and have various ICMR research projects with grants to their credit.

The department actively participates in all National Programmes for children, and conducts regular CMEs and lectures in various State and National Forums. We conducted an ‘Adolescent Child- An update’ in the year 2014. Our faculty have been approved as trainers for NTEP, HIV control programme and MBFHI programmes of the state government.

We have commenced Psotgraduate course since 2021
