The KUHS-QAS Faculty Orientation Program was successfully conducted on 11th May 2026 at Lecture Hall 03, Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SNIMS). The program was organized with the objective of orienting faculty and staff members towards the KUHS Quality Assurance System (QAS), accreditation standards, quality benchmarks, and criterion-wise institutional requirements.

The program commenced with the inaugural address delivered by Dr. Indira Kumari K. R., Principal, Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SNIMS). The session witnessed the gracious presence of Dr. Simple Rajagopal, Principal, Sree Narayana College of Nursing (SNCON); Dr. Thomas Jerry, Vice Principal, SNIMS; Dr. Abhima, Chief Coordinator- KUHS-QAS process; Mr. Abith Ganesh, Coordinator- KUHS- QAS process; respective criterion team leaders and members; faculty; and staff members of the institution.

The orientation program was led by Dr. Anoopa K. R., Principal, SIMET College of Nursing, Konni, a distinguished academician and Technical Committee Member involved in the development of the KUHS-QAS accreditation criteria. During the session, Dr. Anoopa provided detailed guidance on various aspects of the Quality Assurance System, including institutional documentation practices, quality indicators, accreditation procedures, evidence compilation, criterion-wise expectations, and strategies for strengthening academic and administrative systems within higher educational institutions.

The sessions were highly interactive and informative, enabling faculty and staff members to gain a clear understanding of the KUHS-QAS framework and institutional preparedness required for the accreditation process. Emphasis was also placed on maintaining systematic documentation, ensuring continuous quality improvement, fostering accountability, and developing a sustainable culture of excellence within the institution.

The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Simple Rajagopal, Principal, Sree Narayana College of Nursing (SNCON). As a token of gratitude and appreciation from Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, a memento was presented to Dr. Anoopa K. R. by Dr. Indira Kumari K. R., Principal, SNIMS, along with Dr. Thomas Jerry, Vice Principal, SNIMS.

The program concluded successfully with active participation from faculty and staff members, reaffirming the institution’s commitment towards quality enhancement, academic excellence, accountability, and continuous institutional improvement in alignment with KUHS-QAS standards.
