OPHTHALMOLOGY
The Ophthalmology department of SNIMS was established in 2009. We are now permitted to train 150 students per year. Regular lectures and clinics are conducted for MBBS students and their performance is evaluated by holding short tests, internal and model examinations periodically.
Department consists of four specialists, two Optometrists and other support staff. We provide patient oriented management of ophthalmic problems by integrating and leveraging our combined expertise. The department pursues its activities with regular OPD clinics for diagnosis & detection of eye disorders, as well as minor and major surgical procedures.
Our vision is to provide a transparent, ethical and comprehensive eye care at an affordable cost to patients, and develop in to an excellent training centre.
The department functions from 8.30am to 4.00pm on all days of the week except Sunday.
