GENERAL SURGERY

Successful outcome in surgery depends on knowledge, skills and judgment. We, at SNIMS, realize that a successful outcome for a patient is dependent on a surgeon who takes responsibility to ensure that patients are given utmost care and affection while treating their diseases.

The department of surgery in SNIMS boasts of a world class unit with most modern equipment and highly trained faculty. The department caters to patients with GI diseases, Thyroid disorders, breast disorders, GI Cancers, ano-rectal conditions, varicose veins, peripheral vascular diseases, diabetic foot, salivary gland disorders, emergency trauma conditions, laparoscopic surgeries and minor surgical procedures and is a major referral centre for complicated surgical afflictions in the area.

The department routinely undertakes a host of charitable surgical procedures such as hernia, varicose veins, thyroid diseases, breast diseases, GI system by conducting camps. Teaching undergraduate students is our main academic activity. We undertake research activities, conduct various CMEs and workshops periodically. Department is gearing up to commence postgraduate course soon.
