PSYCHIATRY

The Department of Psychiatry strives to provide treatment for patients suffering from mental disorders. We in the department manage Adult Psychiatric Disorders, Alcohol and drug addiction, Problems of Children and adolescents, Stress related problems, Sexual dysfunction, marital problems, old age problems, rehabilitation of the mentally challenged and the mentally ill. Psychiatric intervention is available round the clock for managing psychiatric emergencies including patients who are suicidal and acutely disturbed. Relaxation techniques are employed in addressing stress related disorders.

OBJECTIVES

• Providing World Class Mental Health services to the public at an affordable cost.
• To provide quality education on Psychiatric aspects of HealthCare for Medical Graduates.
• To promote active research in the field of Mental Health Care and Psychiatry.
